I'm not an artist, but occasionally need graphics and have encountered http://www.deviantart.com. Despite it's dodgey name, it seems like a busy site with a large community of artists - as well as providing the ability to sell stuff. A few artists who I know have made encouraging noises about it.There's more about it here:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DeviantART(DISCLAIMER: I've no connection with the site and use it rarely so can't vouch for its fitness for purpose)

There is a plethora on the web and you may get lost in the millions trying to do the same. You need to pick a speciality site for your special type of work if you have one.Just do a Google search for "Artists Webrings" or "Artists websites" and you will end up with nearly 3 million pages (over 30 million entries!) and you will see the problems confronting you. How to get noticed for your work. You must not rely only on the web which is one of many marketing tools you need to apply.Good luck.MedBlue
