Jan, you could check with these guys:Service des renseignements douaniers: 23 rue de l'Université 75700 PARIS Tel : 01 40 24 65 10 Fax : 01 40 24 65 30(from the http://www.ambafrance-uk.org/ site)They mention bringing into France (among other things); antiques; dogs, cats and ferrets; certain plants requiring/not requiring phytosanitary passports (probably available in the Feminine Hygiene section of Boots); and drugs ("medicated", of course).A search of their site for 'sausages' and 'bacon' brought no results. The search for 'cheese' was more fruitful, but in a country with over 400 cheeses, that was only to be expected. There are options available locally: fromage, saussice and poitrine.for an easy life, try this http://www.magiquepipi.com/en/index.html
