I buy Bicarbonate of Soda in Leclerc - by the salt and herbs display - when I was a kid and mother ran out of toothpaste, we used to clean our teeth with B of S and now of course it appears in many of today's toothpastes.

At least the French believe you when you say you put levure chimique in biscuits. Try telling them you use bicarbonate of soda! Apparently it's only available from pharmacies.

I've found it in tiny packets below the farine at Carrefour. Blink and you miss it.c J
