my fav is noori's in place grimaldi in nice...

also i really like ragamama in rue paganini and the indian lounge in rue droite...nice as well

i find delhi belly is a bit expensive for the quality of the food and watch out for the dog poo that surrounds the restaurant..

I tried the Blue Elephant in Antibes on friday - it was more Thai than Indien - still a had a good Thai curry - and the vino flowed well.

But always on lookout - please keep me posted.

cheers curryboy.

Out of the station in Cannes and turn left until one reaches the rue Jean Jaures, No. 23 (Philippines Store). Loads of good sauces, pickles et al.

Bluefin,

You sound like a curry coniseur (cant spell)

Do you know address or number of New Indien place (as recon could be fairly busy)

But sounds good......

I also think I know himalay - havent been but will put on list.

thanks

Sorry don't have the card with me, it's at home and I'm at work!  I know it's in the area between Nice Ville SNCF and Promenade des Anglais - narrows the area a bit!! - try the phone book/directory enquiries?  You are aware the French generally don't like hot (as in spicy) food so the restaurants turn the heat down quite a bit - we usually ask for a dish to be extra hot and they are quite willing to oblige!

If you're ever in the Monaco area there's a great Indian restaurant in Beausoleil called the 'New Indien' - good service, great food and reasonable prices...it's very popular and they do a take-away/free delivery service (local address).

As someone who really misses her curries I can say that Nooris is pretty good although a little expensive - Ragamamas owned by the same people has a good atmosphere and great food.

The best one i've found for food and value is La Ganesh in Cannes near the old port.  The restaurant is pretty basic but the food is fantastic!  Feeling hungry now think I need a curry fix tonight.
