Hi Dose your Bbox have a code on the bottom of it ? as The neufbox i have Dose and my son just take,s the code of and types it in to his machine and it works Fine .

Can you run an Ethernet cable? From one house to the other? That would be another rather cheap way to get it done. There are also special "booster antenna's" you can plug them into the USB connection of the laptop, they extend the range significantly. Best is to go to a good IT store and ask of you can try one, before you buy, or ask for possibility of refund.

Provided that the gite is on the same power line as the main house, you may try power plug. That would be the easiest way to solve the problem. But the "sender and the "receiver" should be on the same phase of the electricity network.
