If the GP is "conventionée secteur 2"" he can charge whatever he wants to who ever he wants, even to different prices for the same thing for different people. (depassement honoraire)

If you are concerned you need to find a GP (or in the future a specialist) who states that they are "conventionée secteur 1" as they will /can only charge the secu tarif

A visit  on the ameli website will also, I believe, provide you with a list of Drs and their conventionnement in your area

Some mutuelles will reimburse all or part of a depassement honoraire, it depends on your contract

This is not a specialist, it is a GP. And when I mentioned someone paid 62 euros and I  paid 43 this was with the same GP. I know the GP in question charges different amounts ranging from 23 and I just find it odd, I know of 3 people who have all paid different amounts.

Not only specialists can charge more than the 23 euro but also GPs according to their "grade".  Mine charges 34 euro but as I'm very confident in him, it does not matter!

The standard charge is 23€ but specialists can charge what they like.
