Cheapest-type swimming pool?

We would like to install a cheap (contradiction in terms?!) sunken swimming pool, and I understand that some of the rigid "above ground" pools CAN be put into holes (not very technical I'm afraid!). Anyone out there done this? We've got a perfect space for a small pool (about 5m by 2m by 1.5 deep), but are worried (a) about the price and (b) about planning permission, which I understand isn't applicable for "removable" pools.

Thanks for any advice.

For details on the new fencing-in legislation for swimming pools in France see this INFOrmation Page. However, it doesn't apply to above-ground pools, making these an even more cost-effective route to pool ownership than they already are...**************

Yes and I think theres a new rule coming up next year about having your pool fenced in..

I've heard 'Hydro Sud' is a good place to shop for Piscines, Spas etc. They're a big chain so they're all over.
