AC units are simple beasts, so if you are getting repeated trouble, they could simply be at the end of their useful lives and need replacing.

Why don't you try and call Richard at the Lemursol company ? (0684440686)

They did a pretty good job at our home and I guess they must have some kind of maintenance contract.

Maybe an "insurance" policy from your providers is an option for some of the services.

Otherwise, open up your yellow pages and call a few, estimates are free. Look for 10, 15 or 20 years in the advert. A small business here has a big chance of not going past the third year. Also, a AE cannot get the same discounts as a established company here and may not even have the qualifications to do the job.

If you have anything that runs on natural gas in the house, you need a yearly maintenace contract for your insurance. If so, how about them?

It seems by your post, that you have never given 1 company a chance. Normally, loyality can reduce your charges.

Another thing that comes to mind is that it is time to replace your unit and the people you have called are either incompentent or are taking you for a ride hoping you will call them back.
