The company who make your windows should come & measure, as if there are any problems later it will be their problem(or, your builder/ ferronier.)Make sure you get a copy of the 'devis', & check & triple check, if you are having 'croisillons' (smaller panes), that all the plans are the same scale etc.as we just had ours fitted & they had got some wrong, fortunately we had the signed off agreement & they were obliged to change them.also we have found that one (?) of them is not airtight & needs changing...... more hassle !Beware of some companies, (notably one of the big ones you see on theTV),as their quote was over 3 times the price we ended up paying !!!

You might try Lapeyre in Villeneuve Loubet. They both supply and fit double glazed windows and doors in plastic, aluminium and wood. Either standard sizes or even custom made. Or you can order their DG units and have them fitted by an independant. Double glazing does not always fit into existing windows/doors since it is a much thicker assembly than plain glass. If your existing windows/doors are not close to standard sizes, Lapeyre can make units that are fixed to the existing frames. No need in this case to bash out the old frames (noise and dust), but a bit expensive.
