Have a look further on this site, there was a lengthy discussion recently about this very sunbect. Lots of people responded and offered some great advice, approx 3 or 4 pages of it. Try to find it and good luck !

I live in Antibes and a lot of palm trees around us have died from this infestation.

Our palm trees have been professionally sprayed each month for a number of months and the treatment has just restarted this year.

What we have done is got together with three of our other neighbours and shared the cost, so that we are paying about 30€ each time the tree is sprayed.

Also, unless your neighbours, who's Plam Trees must be infested, are prepared to follow the same treatment, I think it would be pointless you trying it alone

I'm not a specialist, but I don't think it's something that you can do yourself, unless you're ready and able to climb the palm tree and spray the centre of the tree like the professionals do, repeatedly.

It's a crying shame isn't it?
