Thank you for the answer. Tomatoes from seed were 1 Euro, and very small. The Greffé were far bigger and healthier and were 5.60 Euro.Do they graft like this in the UK ?, just curious, because I have never heard of this before.

LMN, in the local garden shops, you will find lots of young tomato plants which have been grafted onto a root stock. Each tomato will be identified by its name, so you can still pick your favorites. The advantage seems to be that they establish themselves very quickly. We have been buying grafted tomato plants for the past three years, and have had no problems with them. You can of course also buy the tomato plants at the same shops, grown from seed. Grown from seed, they are cheaper. Good luck.
