Bussana Vecchia is definitely fascinating and very unusual! I was in Alassio about five years ago and I seem to remember it was very charming, sleepy and old fashioned.

Just past San Remo is Boussana Veccia. I hill top village destroyed in an earthquake 150 years or so ago, populated by artis in the 60s and is just fascinating.
