Depending on where you are you might want to stick to the rivers during high season - water is cooler and the trails less busy than the beaches. We often go to the Brague by Valbonne or the Siagne by Auribeau.

Hi all dog lovers

I have moved to live in Nice and was wondering if anybody was interested in meeting up to walk dogs together or go to the dog beach

regards

Maria

Hi there is a small beach in Villefranche sur Mer where dogs are allowed. It is right at the end if the bay, and car parks.  My dog loves to go there as he swims all the time. It is ok to sit and relax, with an umbrella, as it can be hot  as it is protected from wind. !

In Cagnes sur Mer there is a very large beach right in front of the hippodrome where dogs are welcome!

I saw just the other day that's there's a whole section of beach in Fréjus (St Aygulf actually) that allows dogs on leads (and there were lots of people with their dogs off leads). Maybe a bit far but it's a lovely sandy beach.
