Hi, I have done some flying lessons here but my English speaking instructor just lost his medical. There is perhaps a lady instructor at UACCA Cannes LFMD that speaks a little English. You cannot take the written JAR exams in English here and you cannot take more than 10 hours instruction here and then take the exams in English in the UK. All the instruction bar 10 hrs and exams have to be taken "...under the auspices of one country... " So you cannt do 50 hrs here and the checkride or exams in UK. Expletive deleted.  The french medical may not include and ECG but you will need a resting ECG if you apply for the PPL via the UK CAA. Bon Courage! In the end I just went to Florida, Orlando Flight Training to get around the banality of these regulations.
