Juan les Pins has lovely sandy beaches, less than an hours drive and a very lively little town

Hi,

I spend a lot of time in Menton too, the only real sandy beaches I know of are just round the headland from the new harbour they are building in Ventimiglia, The main beach is called the 'Calandre' and there is an appartment building above it with a sign saying-Calandre sabbia d'oro, meaning golden sand which is what you will find.

I dont think you can get to it from the sea front at Ventimiglia at the moment due to the building work on the harbour I think you have to climb down a steep path by the side of the Museum.

When I went in August there was a little bar at the beach too which was nice.

If you want to know any more just send me a message

Kind Regards

Jenny

I am afraid you'd have to drive either to Antibes, Juan les Pins, Cannes, either to the beaches between Ventimiglia and San Remo :-)
