thanks. that sounds practical. I shall try it out myself and then offer it to my son (who is in his 20s) although he may have competition from his nephews and niece.

The two things that I would consider are mosquitoes & other biting insects and the comfort of the paving stones.

So a cheap pop up tent from Decathlon would do the job, so long as the tent occupants keep the doors/nets zipped up during the evening, ie before they actually use it as a bedroom, otherwise they will become the mossies' evening banquet.

For comfort I would suggest an airbed, 15€ for a good sized single also in Decathlon, plus a cheap foot pump about 20€.  We've just bought 2 for a camping trip next week.  You can also get them as a double, but I always find my hubby rolling onto me with a double.

Bedding, well probably a bottom sheet & a top sheet, depending on where you are, you may find a blanket/rug is useful if you are away from the coastal strip!

I hope that your guests enjoy their stay.

A RV or caravan with air conditioner is your best best.
