After many years in your shoes and 5 IMs later I can offer you this if not a training partner.

1. Make every workout a quality work out.  (Don't just read this one make it part of your plan.)

2. Take lots of rest days.

3. Race your own race.

4. Ride and run in interesting places.

5. Throw in short intense intervals on days when your time is limited.

6. Visualize yourself racing strong and crossing the line with a smile.

Rules for busy geeks.

There are more but try these for now.

I will do it as well in Nice this year (my first one) but the problem is I am working a lot  and no time to training ;-) I swim sometimes only at the moment
my goal is just to finish it and the pleasure
I didn't try to several sports together but 1.5 swim, col d'eze by bike and 10km = I did it already separetely and more
I live in Nice east (swim next to the port) and work in Monaco (afternoon and often evening)

You should be able to join a masters swim group in your area.  The bike is a different story.  Go to a local bike shop and enquire.  Good luck with your race.  5 time Canadian & US IronMan
