HONG KONG (Hong Kong)

Hong Kong (香港) “Fragrant harbour” officially the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China, is an autonomous territory on the eastern side of the Pearl River estuary in East Asia. The official languages of this region are English and Chinese. Hong Kong started out being just a farming fishing village and salt production site around five decades ago. Later on, this fast-pace city evolved into an important free port and nowadays, has become a major international financial centre. It is well-known for its astonishing skyscrapers, including the Bank of China Tower, IFC (International Financial Centre) and ICC (International Commerce Centre rising 484m), the tallest high-rise building in Hong Kong and the 9th in the world.

There are plenty of less formal attractions in this territory, including celebrating a Chinese-style BBQ at the beach, going to the Zoo, visiting Ocean Park, shopping at the Ladies Market or simply admiring the colonial buildings spread over the region. Because of its international character, Hong Kong is a place where job opportunities appear at the blink of an eye and its spectacular hassled life will make you feel alive.
