Employment in Japan

In order to work legally in Japan, foreigners must obtain the appropriate work visas. These visas are very specific and stipulate the type of work that can be carried out in the country.

Finding Work in Japan

There are a number of resources for job seekers in Japan, including websites, job agencies, and advertisements in newspapers and magazines. There are also job centres operated by the national government, providing information about job opportunities and vacancies in the local employment market.

There are a number of Employment Service centres for foreign job seekers and foreign nationals with eligible work visas:
