TOKYO (Japan)

Tokyo is Japan’s capital and the world’s most populous city. This megacity was a fishing village named Edo in the late twelfth century. Today, Tokyo is a city where old traditions and temples meet the modern trends and high-rise buildings. It is famous for its tallest free-standing Tower (Sky Tree), Imperial Palace, entertainment district called Roppongi, and its high-speed bullet trains (Shinkansen trains). But this metropolis also has parks where to relax and have a break. Hinokicho Park (next to Tokyo’s Midtown) is one of them.

Roppongi was once full of Hinoki cypress trees, so this is where the name of the park comes from. Besides, and to give you some hints about how Tokyo’s people (or sometimes, referred to as” Edokko”) or Japanese people are, it can be said that they are polite, punctual, kind, formal, clean, respectful, intelligent, hard-working, who like grouping and tremendously shy. If you get the vibe of Japanese cuisine with its sake, sushi, tempura, sashimi and wasabi among others, then you are in the right city and you will enjoy Tokyo at its fullest.
